Greater Austin Chapter
Since chartering in 2024, the Greater Austin Chapter of the National Coalition of 100 Black Women, Inc. has embraced the magnificent opportunity to establish a lasting foundation for advocacy, leadership and service in Austin, Texas; the legislative seat of our state. What began as a vision fueled by dedication, sacrifice and an unwavering commitment to addressing disparities impacting Black women and girls has now evolved into a growing organization making an impact throughout our community.
Over the past two years, we have worked diligently to build the infrastructure of our chapter by solidifying our leadership through training including forming committees designed to strengthen our organization and advance the mission of NCBW in the areas of health, education, public policy and economic empowerment. While chartering represented a monumental milestone, we understood that the true work would begin afterwards. We are proud that our chapter has remained focused on creating meaningful initiatives and partnerships that elevate and support Black women and girls throughout Austin and the surrounding communities.
Austin continues to experience rapid growth and changing demographics that disproportionately impact African American communities, making the work of the Greater Austin Chapter more important than ever. We remain committed to advancing equity, expanding opportunities and strengthening communities through advocacy, partnership, mentorship and service. With the continued support of the Austin community, we will keep building initiatives that create lasting impact for Black women and girls for generations to come.
The foundation has been established, the work is underway, and our commitment is unwavering. Together, we will continue striving to make Austin a model for equity, advocacy, leadership and empowerment for Black women and girls. Now, more than ever it is time to continue the work.
